Seneca County Announces New Mental Health and Well-Being Online Platform

Waterloo, NY- Seneca County Mental Health, in collaboration with the Seneca County Health Department and United Way of Seneca County, is introducing a new mental health and well-being online platform called CredibleMind. This collaboration aims to increase access to valuable resources to improve residents’ mental health and well-being. The online confidential platform is available to all residents 24/7 and contains more than 10,000 science-backed mental health resources paired with local services offered by the many service-based agencies operating in the county.

“Our community’s mental wellness is a priority, and with the launch of the CredibleMind platform in Seneca County, we’re providing free tools and resources to empower our residents,” said Seneca County Director of Community Services Margaret Morse. “We believe that prioritizing mental health is essential, and this app is a significant step in supporting that goal.”

CredibleMind was founded in 2018 and focuses on early intervention and prevention of over 100 different metal health and well-being topics without medical intervention. We encourage residents to take a tour of this resource driven platform. Users have the option to take a three-minute, confidential mental health check- in assessment where they will be given quick insights into how they are doing mentally and emotionally in the areas of flourishing, anxiety, and depression. Users who sign up or sign in on the platform and take the assessment by October 30th will be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card. “The ability to provide our residents with 24/7 access to mental health and general well-being resources is a huge asset to our county,” said Public Health Director Scott King. “This platform allows residents the ability to discover the numerous resources available to them from various service agencies all in one place. We were glad to partner with our sister agencies on this initiative because our community’s mental health is an essential part of our overall public health.”

“We are facing a mental health crisis in our country and the demand for mental health services is higher than ever,” said Deryk Van Brunt, CEO of CredibleMind. “We are thrilled to partner with Seneca County and provide on-demand, reliable self-care, and mental health resources to help its community members improve their overall wellbeing and flourish.”
